My Scottish golf club is at Brora where crofters (or farmers) still have rights to allow their cows and sheep to roam across the fairways, making for very interesting play. Electric fences keep them off the well-manicured greens. On this evening, several cows decided to head home out the first fairway and into the sunset and a rainbow over the North Sea.

Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
