Artist's Description
I waited 24 years to get back to China and finally get to Guilin, mainly to take this 5-hour cruise along the scenic Li River. Although the day was fogged in and the river low in late Autumn, I believe this image represents the haunted nature of this unique natural site. Pointed mountains, layer after layer, appear around every corner and the morning mist can enhance as well as hide the details. I added an Ink Outline filter to get this dreamy effect.

Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
