Dunrobin Castle stands guard over beautiful gardens and looks out over the North Sea in Sutherland, the Northern Highlands of Scotland. The Sutherland clan built, expanded, and continues to maintain the castle as a marvelous stop for tourist. The exquisite gardens house an extremely professional falconry show twice daily in the summers. But I think I also captured a perfect bird’s-eye shot with this image.

Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
