After reading Ross King�s fascinating book, Brunelleschi's Dome: How a Renaissance Genius Reinvented Architecture, I was fixated on studying this incredible masterpiece from every direction. I stayed at the Duomo Hotel, with the dome just yards from my window. I walked its hallowed cathedral. I even dared to climb through the rafters to the top! And I captured this night view from the top of Piazzale Michelangelo.
