After an all day road trip, I came home to Dornoch and realized the sky was beginning to turn yellows and orange. I raced to the beach, climbed the hill to the 18th hole of The Royal Dornoch and captured this incredible light. Struie Hill is to the left, the flagpoles and clubhouse of Royal Dornoch center behind the flag, and the Royal Golf Hotel to the right.

Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
