It's not a particularly imposing bridge, the old stone bridge over the Swilken Burn on The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. But the Swilken Bridge on The Old Course's 18th hole is one of the most famous golf course landmarks in the world. Everyone who crosses it stops to have his or her photo taken, even the pros.
About Sally Ross
Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
