Textures in sunlight intrigued me on my morning walk in Dornoch, Scotland. This garden wall appeared as I walked the back road up behind the cathedral to get a view out over the town to the Dornoch Firth beyond. As always, however, it is the small places, the moments when someone else walked away and I came upon a place, that entices me to take a photograph.
Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
