I am always in search of isolated trees that stand tall and speak of the centuries they have known. This grand dame reached into the emerging storm as if in a defiant, celebratory dance. I've enhanced the blue clouds and sky with a florescent filter to give her the radiance I think she deserves.

Sally Ross retired from the University of Georgia Department of Language and Literacy, after many wonderful years of working with Georgia English teachers. She now thrives on travel, hiking, golf, and photography, making Scotland the perfect destination for several months every summer.
